Which online mode should your group choose?
ACE COMBAT 8 multiplayer has two core modes: Co-Op Assault and Co-Op Warfare. Choose according to whether your group wants to fight NPC enemies or an opposing player team.
Co-Op Assault — recommended for PvE
Choose this mode to work together against NPC enemies while competing with another team for the highest score. It is a PvE score competition, so cooperation within your team still includes competition over the final score.
Co-Op Assault has two player-count descriptions: two teams of four players (date not stated), and teams of two to four players (September 22, 2026). The minimum supported team size is not confirmed yet; do not assume how smaller teams are formed.
Co-Op Warfare — for fighting another team
